I was reading an article in a magazine the other day on throwing an expensive baby
shower at a spa resort. A spa resort? That's where I go for my anniversaries! Well
you know what? I have thrown some baby showers in my life and I have had 3 baby
showers and two kids. I also have been to plenty of showers and have plenty of friends
who have thrown them. Most of us others cannot afford to throw a baby shower like
that. We need someway to learn how to throw a great baby shower on a budget. Sure
we can have baby showers with unique themes and great decorations, but nobody
should have to spend a whole bunch of money on something like that! That money
should be going toward the mother-to-be and her new baby.
Planning a baby shower on a budget is not as hard as it sounds. I am sure the
mother will appreciate the shower no matter what and she will have plenty of friends and
family there. See that? Plenty of friends and family. They can help you cut the costs of
the baby shower and you will still have plenty of money in your pocket.
First you need to pick your budget for the shower. How much do you think you yourself
can afford? Remember to ask other close friends and family of the mother-to-be to
help. Everyone should be in it together. Take what you can afford and multiply it by how
many others are willing to pitch in. You just went from having $25.00 to having a
$100.00 with just 3 other guests help. Now maybe your budget is smaller or larger,
whatever the case, planning a baby shower on a budget is the best way to go.
Remember when planning the shower the main things that need to be budgeted. If you
are trying to do this baby shower on a budget though, this is pretty much all you will

One of the things you will have to consider is the number of guests. Can you afford a
baby shower with 50 guests or only 10? Then you will have to consider the theme. Do
