The Baby Bear and the Pumpkin One day, Mama Bear brought home a Baby Pumpkin. Baby Bear had never seen anything like this. He really liked Baby Pumpkin. Everyday, Mama Bear would feed Baby Pumpkin and Baby Pumpkin grew and grew. Baby Bear liked watching Baby Pumpkin grow. Each day, baby Bear would visit Baby Pumpkin and give him a hug. Over time, Baby Pumpkin grew very, very large. This scared Baby Bear because now Baby Pumpkin was bigger than Baby Bear. Mama Bear told Baby Bear that this was OK and that he would get big like Baby Pumpkin one day too. Baby Bear didn’t believe Mama Bear. Baby Bear was still scared. Soon after Baby Pumpkin had grown to full size, Halloween was just around the corner. Mama Bear wanted to show how Baby Pumpkin could make faces. So, Mama Bear carved a very large smile on Baby Pumpkin. This made Baby Bear smile, too. Baby Bear realized he didn’t have to be scared anymore. Some time later, Mama Bear wanted to show Baby Bear all of Baby Pumpkins brothers and sisters. So, she brought Baby Bear outside. In the yard, she showed baby Bear a bunch of other Baby Pumpkins. Baby Bear got excited and danced around all of his new friends. He gave each one a hug and promised to help them grow big and strong. Everyone was happy and Baby Bear had made many new friends. |
